- 421 housing units were registered in the first eight months of 2012, 26.8% less than the same period 2011. Just 44 units were registered in the month of August – of which the majority were in Cork, Dublin and Wicklow.
- 5,367 housing units were completed during the first eight months of 2012, of which 3,268 (60.9%) were one-off / single builds. 772 units were completed during the month of August.
- 2,456 housing units were commenced during the first seven months of 2012, of which 1,919 (78.1%) were one-off/ single builds.
