…..The recent untimely death of the late Seán Murphy generated a deep sense of loss all over Cork and Munster among those who knew him and those who knew of him. Seán Murphy and his achievements were well recognized and appreciated.
….Sean Murphy one of North Cork’s most successful Businessmen and certainly it’s best known builder passed away suddenly at his home in September 2009 . His death was a big shock to the local community as he had been working normally and had visited one of his sites only a couple of hours before his death.
……Sean was the well known figure that founded Murphy New Homes and the testimony to his success can be seen in every road and boreen in Cork and further afield. However like most entrepreneurs he did not attain his success overnight and he would be the first to admit that it was sheer hard work and grit that made him such a commanding figure in the house building industry.
